Today has been another chilly day. I thought id pull out my favourite leopard print dress (again, Tesco £16!!!) with a little cropped cardi to keep warm, worn with some patent brogues and my new 1940's style felt hat from marks and spencers. I fell in love with the hat as soon as i saw it and snaffled it right up, and will find any excuse to wear it. Iv only got my knitted socks on to keep my tootsies warm around the house. I obviously didnt wear them with the brogues. Planning a night out with the uni girls (and matt) to celebrate the end of the term and xmas time. Tempted to dress up this dress with a black suede waterfall blazer and nude or glittery gold heels. Will try to post the final out fit this evening.

Much love,

Final Assignment Hand In

Today was our final assignment deadline at uni  for 2010 so im now feeling all festive. I went for my red cardi, green sparkly nails and gold sequin shoes to display my xmas cheer. I also fancied my over the knee socks with silk bows on the back rolled down slightly over some nice new tights, which as per usual, now have a huge ladder in. I wore  this all with my new F+F panel bodycon dress from tesco (£16!! bargin!!) and my mums vintage sheepskin coat to keep me nice and snug. I just cant wait for christmas time. As im all done until January with uni, I am now about sit down and start making some pressies and stocking fillers. Time to crack open the mulled wine and mince pies....

Festive love

I have have been a rubbish blogger for the last week and for that I apologise. I have been super run down with 4 assignment deadlines and snow so there is a valid reason. Today snow hit Plymouth. This of course was directly after I stated loudly in a lecture "Thank god we have no snow like the rest of the UK, what losers!". Typical. Of course I jinxed it. However snow did give me a reason to crack out all my alpine gear with out looking like a moron. With 3 layers of vests and t-shirts followed by a Marksies cashmere poloneck, Fenwright Manson quilted biker coat, thermal leggings, knitted People Tree socks, Topshop stripey bodycon skirt and Sketchers snow boots, I was ready to hit the "slopes" (the ramps from the carpark). I wore this with a black feather hair band made by a friend and a Accesorize necklace to add a touch of glamour to the ensemble. As much as this get-up saved me from freezing limbs out side, I melted as soon as I entered any building. Shame... Fingers crossed the aweful weather goes away sharpish!!!

Best wishes,
Hetti J

(Apologies for the sideways snap, iv been unable to rotate it for some reason...)

going out with an old friend...

Today I mainly bummed around the house in my jim jams, until 3 where I set off to style the shoot. It was terribly cold so I wore about 6 layers with my furry leopard print coat as I styled the model in my 1950's rabbit fur trimmed cape, which is what id normally wear in these occassions.
Im now preparing to go out in town with a friend who I havent seen in over a year.  I imagine it will be a tad tipsy and lots of danicng. Its tough knowing what to wear on a student night, as a great deal of the socialising is outside, so you have to be warm, but wear layers so you can whip'em off when you get your groove on the old dance floor. Iv gone for the polka dot playsuit with some thick tights and a cardi and then some basic suede ankle boots. Not overly exciting, but meh, its only a catch up...

first post

So this is what I wore today.... I took my small cousin to see the new Harry Potter (as I needed an excuse to go, cant go on my own obviously), so I thought casual yet cute. The skirt needs a bit of an iron, but I blame the cinema seats. Theyr so darn uncomfy, you just end up wiggling in it to find a spot that isnt as hard as stone, and your clothes come out looking like the dogs bed. Matched with a cashmere navy jumper with a vintage brooch (my grandmothers) and some sweet round toe heels, to pull out the colour in the skirt. The photo doesnt show it but the heel of the shoes are sparkling silver, which add a flash of colour and make them a tad more interesting I feel. Pulled together of course with the staple item of choice this winter, "the wooly tights". I dont know what id do without these beauties as I try to avoid trousers at all costs (they make me look short and stumpy, which they shouldnt, baring in mind im 5'7), so unless I want to freeze to buggery this fall, they will be worn most days. different pairs of course...
